What is your earliest memory of classical music?

When I was little, my mom accidentally turned on the TV to the classical music channel and it was Mozart’s Symphony No. 40. That was the first time I listened to classical music.

Was there a teacher who was particularly impactful/helpful? What made this instructor stand out?

There were a lot of teachers who helped me a great deal and I really appreciate and respecte them. They brought me into a different period from elementary to master, and I am really thankful to them with all my respect and appreciation.

What made you decide to become a musician? Was there a particular performance or person that influenced your decision?

I became a musician because I love to play the double bass.

How would you like to see orchestra concerts evolve in the future?

I would love to see everyone who loves classical music engage in orchestra concerts and enjoy the music in the future.

What is your proudest achievement as a musician?

I think my proudest achievement as a musician is any moment I’m playing on the stage, enjoying what I play and expressing the emotion to audiences.

Can you share any memorable onstage mishaps?

There was a concert where, during a soft part, someone who played the cello accidentally dropped his bow.

What advice would you give your younger self or anyone starting out?

Do whatever you want and enjoy every moment!!!
