What is your earliest memory of classical music?

Listening to my older sister practice “Spring” from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons

How did you hear about TŌN? What inspired you to apply?

I grew up nearby so I’ve known about the program for a while. I applied because I love the area and wanted to join a rigorous orchestra training program.

What do you think orchestra concerts should look like in the 21st Century?

I think concerts should be accessible and enjoyable to all communities. With more diverse programming and relaxed concert settings, I think concerts would be more appealing to audiences.

Who is your biggest inspiration?

My teacher, Ragga

Which composer or genre of music do you feel you connect with the most?

Johannes Brahms

What is your favorite piece of music?

The third movement from Beethoven’s last string quartet

What has been your favorite experience as a musician?

Playing Schubert’s String Quartet Death and the Maiden in a 13th Century castle in Italy

If you could play another instrument, what would it be?

Drums!

If you weren’t a musician, what would you be doing?

I’m not sure, I’ve never considered doing anything outside of music. But probably something creative!
