Full Concert: Charles Ives’ America

In this November 17, 2024 performance livestreamed from the Fisher Center at Bard, conductor Leon Botstein and TŌN celebrate the sesquicentennial of one of the most quintessential American composers, Charles Ives. With host and preeminent Ives scholar J. Peter Burkholder, baritone William Sharp, and pianist Donald Berman, this program explores the way the composer created unique works from familiar tunes. Before each piece, Sharp and the orchestra highlight these classic songs, including “Bringing in the Sheaves” and “Wake Nicodemus”.
