TŌN and conductor Zachary Schwartzman continue their free concert series at Symphony Space with four symphonic tales of love and death. Three tales of doomed love from Verdi’s opera La forza del destino, Wagner’s opera Tristan und Isolde, and Tchaikovsky’s symphonic poem Francesca da Rimini will be performed alongside Mahler’s Funeral Rite, the first movement of his Second Symphony in which a man in his grave questions his life and what lies ahead.

Concert Details

The concert will last approximately 1 hour and 55 minutes including one 20-minute intermission.
