Meet the Musicians

TŌN-ality: James Kim

Our summer video series TŌN-ality kicks off with a spotlight on oboe player James Kim, who recently finished his third year in The Orchestra Now and will be receiving a Master of Music degree in Curatorial, Critical, and Performance Studies. James talks with us about a memorable TŌN performance of Brahms’ Violin Concerto, discusses what adjustments he had to make as a musician after his son was born, and performs C. P. E. Bach’s Flute Sonata in A minor.
