What is your earliest memory of classical music?
My mom loves the piece called The Maiden’s Prayer. She played it on the piano so many times when I was little, and she still plays it sometimes!
What is your favorite piece of music, and why do you love it?
Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 2. This piece is purely bright and lyrical and it’s unlike his 11th Symphony, which was written at the same time. I love that opposite charm of the piece.
If you could play another instrument, what would it be?
Oboe!
