Who is your biggest inspiration?

My teacher, Edwin Barker; Sviatoslav Richter; and Jascha Heifetz

Which composer or genre of music do you feel you connect with the most?

I think Bach is the greatest, but as far as symphonic music goes I think Mahler and Shostakovich were
the best.

What is your favorite piece of music, and why do you love it?

The Art of the Fugue by J.S. Bach. Writing counterpoint that complex, while still being profoundly moving and musical, is a miracle to me.

If you could play another instrument, what would it be?

Violin. I’m a huge fan of Henryk Wieniawski’s violin compositions.
