Part of TŌN’s Fisher Center concert series

Leon Botstein unearths more rarely-heard masterpieces in this concert examining Eastern European music through the rise and fall of Soviet communism, from Szymanowski’s 1918 Songs of the Infatuated Muezzin to Russian composer Boris Tishchenko’s Fifth Symphony, and György Kurtág’s early-21st-century …concertante…. Hear this program at the Fisher Center just days before TŌN performs it at Carnegie Hall.

Join us on the portico outside the Fisher Center starting at 6 PM on Saturday, April 29 for a celebratory end-of-season reception! Open to all ticket holders.
